The nation’s top high school football players will square off in the U.S. Army Bowl wearing game day ready SAFR Helmet Covers to help reduce the risk of concussion.
SAFR Sports is pleased to sponsor the 2023 U.S. Army Bowl, America’s biggest high school football All-American game. The game will be played in Frisco, Texas on Monday, December 18 and nationally televised.
All-Star protection for the best high school players
It’s important not only to showcase the talents of the All-Americans, but to do so safely. So SAFR Sports will equip players from both teams with custom, game day ready, SAFR Helmet Covers that have been tested to reduce the risk of concussions by as much as 77%.
“At SAFR Sports, we are continually pursuing new ways to improve sports safety through science, and we credit the U.S. Army Bowl for taking this important step to protect their players so they can compete at the highest-level next season.”
– John Zeglinski, SAFR President & CEO
Game day ready and scientifically proven to provide protection at all levels of play.
While most helmet covers are only approved for use in practice, SAFR Helmet Covers are permitted by the National Federation of State High Schools Association (NFHS) to be worn in games. Streamlined and aesthetically pleasing, the helmet covers can be customized to match school colors and logos.
Recent data from a three-year independent study at a major university in Pennsylvania showed the effectiveness of wearing ProTechs, and the results have been published in scientific journals, including the Journal of Concussion. This testing was validated in December at Virginia Tech’s Helmet Lab, where researchers concluded that adding a SAFR ProTech to 5-Star helmets showed a significant reduction in concussion risk.
